Gifts for kids who love cars and trucks

For the cars kid: the rescue garage has been in constant use on our living room floor since last Christmas, Blu Track lets them set up ramps and race tracks everywhere, and the Green Toys trucks wash off and survive pretty much anything.

  11. If you do an advent calendar

    Hot Wheels 2026 Advent Calendar

We did the hot wheels advent a few years ago and it's great for a cars kid. Some of the days are lackluster, but it's a great way to start (or grow) the car collection. You might get lucky with a black friday deal, but not likely.

  12. If you want a stocking stuffer

    Hot Wheels Bath Bomb Set

these were a big hit as a stocking stuffer last year. target <$8 around black friday.

  13. If they are 4 or up

    Original Speed Card Racer

a winning stocking stuffer. i'd recommend 4+ OR for a kid that doesn't love to take things apart and put them back together.

  14. If you want cars for the bath

Tub Works® Emergency™ Cars Light Up Bath

good stocking stuffer option. the batteries don't last as glopals, but at least they're vehicles that can still be played with after.

  15. If they want to drive their own

Radio Flyer Delivery Van Ride On Toy

another toy with staying power. we actually have the amazon truck version, but it's just a paint job on this classic design.

  16. If you have the room and they're mechanical and patient

iPlay, iLearn Large Truck Engine Mechanic Toy

this is a big $ and space-taking item, so my recommendation comes with caveats: if you have room AND your kid is mechanical with patience, this is GREAT. otherwise, it's a potential high frustration and high overwhelm toy. It comes with a key fob with all the noises you'd expect, plus an engine and horn. If they can handle the mechanics, they'll love it. Target price ~$80
